Parippu Curry

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Moong Dal
2 Garlic (optional)
2 Green Chilli
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt

For Grinding:
1/2 cup Coconut
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds/ Jeera
2Shallot

Seasoning:
2Tsp Ghee/ Coconut oil
1/4 tsp Mustard
2 Shallot
2 Red Chilli
1Twig Curry leaves

How to prepare:
Cook moong dal with turmeric powder,garlic( if adding),green chilli, salt and 2 cup water. Mash the dal using the back of a big spoon.Grind coconut,shallot,cumin by adding littlewater to a fine paste.Pour this paste to the cooked dal.Boil it on low heat.
Heat 2 Tsp coconut oil/ghee on a pan.Add mustard seeds.When it sputters add chopped shallot,red chilli and curry leaves.Saute 1 minute.Immediately pour this to the dal and close it for 2-3 minutes.
Serve with rice.

Note:Using ghee for seasoning will give nice flavour and taste to the curry.
